Use this Gecko code to force the 60Hz mode Override Emulated CPU Clock¶ One of the most versatile features of Dolphin 5.0 is the ability to override the CPU clock of the GameCube/Wii CPU. In the PAL-Version the 60Hz mode cannot be activated at startup. Enabling CPU Clock Override and setting it to 115% or above will allow it to play normally. The very end of the intro video stutters with default settings.
Considering that it was a 15 - 20FPS game. This makes the game very difficult to run at 60 FPS on all but the most powerful computers. Gauntlet Dark Legacy requires setting the framelimit to 120 and setting the CPU Clock Override value to 300 - 400% (!) in order to maintain 60 FPS at all times, and even then some animations are a tiny bit strange due to running at 30 FPS with no interpolation.

What I want to know though is: could this damage your CPU over time? Considering, these are just Wii and Gamecube games if you had a really powerful PC and turned it on would turning this on really tax the CPU that. But, I've been turning it on to see how it affects some of the games with lower frame rates and sound issues and it does make a substantial difference! I would like to use it if I can but. Within Dolphin VR, and found in Config/Advanced, I never really used CPU Clock Override.I have plenty of headroom on my computer - I never see usage above 40% on any core, and never more than 25% total Can the CPU clock be made to go above 400%? Super Mario Sunshine plays better and better the higher I go, but at 400% still has periods where it runs at 20-25FPS rather than 30.
